In our test zone Dale, in Sunnfjord during 2013, Ideal Lab’ “Empathic Home” studied the proxemic specificities between inhabitants to find new potential connections and develop an updated “home” model. Sustainable thinking and acting are muting our present consumer society. We realise that not everyone needs to own everything, foods could be grown more locally and we could create our own energy in independent private units. This mutation could be the departure point for new reasons of interaction. “Empathic Home” further empathised the living experience in private spaces defined as “home” and refocused on the desire of human nature; to be safe and play through an sculptural installation, performance in a local home, designing objects for the act of better reaceive guests and creating a B&B network.
